Irish ceramic artist Peggy McKenna was our very first AiR when ArtsHouse opened its doors in 2015, and she is still contributing her time, humour, myriad skills and technical expertise to the ArtsHouse project.
Peggy has been living between Perth and Ireland for the last 20 years. She completed her Honours Degree in Ceramics at Cardiff College of Art, Wales and a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy at Edith Cowan University, Perth. She ran her own ceramics business, lectured in Fine Arts and has exhibited widely in Ireland.
As part of her original residency, Peggy helped to set up the Ceramic Workshop as a functional space to conduct classes for CJSC students and staff, and the wider local community.
