Liza Beinart is the State Lead for Migration with the Australian Red Cross in WA. She has been working in the community services sector since 2008 with a focus on refugee and migrant communities, child safeguarding, inclusion and substantive equality, and organisational cultural competency.
Before joining the Red Cross, Liza was employed for ten years with Save the Children. She has also worked as a journalist and as a policy officer in several government portfolio areas. Liza has a PhD in International Relations from UWA and has field experience including working in Tanzania and managing a family support service in the Pilbara.
She is a strong advocate for the inclusion of clients’ voices in the design of services that support them.
